Ambrey Archaeology’s first guided tour will take place on Saturday 15th June 2019 .

We’re going to visit the ‘three castles’ of Monmouthshire – Grosmont, Skenfrith and White Castle – dating from the late 11th century, they were united under a single lordship by 1138. All of them beautiful monuments in lovely locations, it will be a day out for lovers of the outdoors as well as those who want to learn more about history and castles.

The villages of Grosmont and Skenfrith both boast lovely pubs, which can be visited too, for lunch or a restorative pint or cup of tea.
